The past few weeks have been very busy, and the next few are going to be even busier.  Since I woke up before anyone else this morning, it gave me a chance to think about all the things I have in my life to be grateful for.  

It's easy to lose track of things when you are so busy starting a new business, and I want to make sure that doesn't happen here.  Family is always the top priority, and we have so many wonderful people in our lives.  Everyone has been there for us this year, and helped make our lavender farm a true family venture.  We couldn't have gotten nearly as far as we have this year without them.  Whenever we needed help, someone was there to pitch in.  Whenever we got stressed about things, someone was there to talk us back from the ledge and boost us up.  

Throughout this year I have thought of my parents often, wishing they could be here to see what we are building. I know they would love it and be so proud.  There are days that it feels like they are near and watching over what is happening here and smiling down on us.

Besides family and friends, we have been very lucky to meet many people in the lavender world who have been so kind and gracious to us.  Everyone we met at festivals and online has been happy to answer our questions and offer encouragement.  It's a great feeling to know there are other folks out there who went through the same trials and errors as we are going through, and that they are rooting for us!

With our plants tripling in size over the summer, our website launched and product sales beginning to pick up, it is starting to feel like this dream may become a reality.  Thinking back to the day we found out we were losing our jobs and the feeling of just being lost and not having any idea what to do next, I am so happy we decided to take the plunge and pursue something completely different.  We know the odds are against us, but we are beginning to think we may just beat them.

To our family near and far, thank you for your love and support.  We couldn't be where we are without you and we love you so much!  Thanks to everyone who reads these blogs, and all our new friends and customers who have tried and loved our products.  We are so grateful to all of you!
